Beginner Sewing Class

What you will learn:

1. Learn: Fabric behavior, Cutting fabric, Machine Hemming. 
2. Seams: Closed Seam, Open Seam, French Seam, Flat Fell Seam
3. Intakes: Darts, Gathers, Pleats
4. Invisible Zipper
5. Project 1: Zippered Pouch
6. Project 2: Tote Bag or Throw Pillowcase

Sewing Supplies needed

• Fabric scissors
  
• 2 yards of muslin fabric
• Sewing Pins 
  
• Tape measure
• Tailor's chalk
• Straight edge ruler
• 7" regular and 9" invisible zippers- two each
• Home sewing machine (For homework)
• Binder with transparency papers 
• Notebook and pen (For notes)
